For the second consecutive year, Inmarsat has been awarded ‘Best Satellite Service Provider of the Year’ in recognition of its leadership and excellence in the telecoms sectors of South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
The accolade was presented by the Samena 2010 Telecommunications Council at the Samena Awards in Casablanca, Morocco.
Innovation and collaboration
Representing telecoms providers across South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, Samena promotes innovation and facilitates collaboration and knowledge-sharing among its members.
The awards evaluation process, made possible by a group of leading telecom professionals drawn from across the industry, was designed to be highly transparent - with support from an independent vote auditing firm.
Company operations
Thomas Wilson, chief executive of Samena, said: “After detailed assessment, evaluating the company’s operations, the awards were granted upon the most deserving telecom organisations professionals.
“Committee deliberations included assessment of their own individual knowledge of the market and industry, which evidently awarded Inmarsat as Best Satellite Service Provider of the Year.”
